Matt Snyder, head of marketing for OmniMesh, prepares 3D-printed drone parts for a test flight. OmniMesh builds Wi-Fi networks for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone flight. The company’s test platforms and network nodes are being deployed in the Griffiss UAS corridor.
Announced in November 2016, the 50-mile flight traffic management system, known as the Drone Testing Corridor will help Griffiss International Airport continue its advancement in drone technology in Central New York.
The corridor connects from Griffiss to Syracuse and will allow companies the chance to test flying drones safely beyond the visual line of sight.
